The Dell Part #: 01Y05J refers to to the adapter / bracket only. The correct 3.5 inch trays for gen 13 servers have  as Part #: 0X968D ( among many other part numbers) and for Gen 14 servers have the Part #: X7K8W  (also among many other part numbers that denote the same).

Please don't confuse the adapter part number with the different gen servers and storage trays.

This tray can be mounted in Gen 13 and gen 14 servers fo result in a hybrid tray (an example here) and they will adapt your 2.5 inch drives, either SATA or SAS, and make it possible for you to mount into any server that utilizes 3.5 Inch FF drive bays. It will slot and align pertfectly and very securely to the hard drive backplane of the server or storage system.
