The Dell Full-height M710 Blades.

The Dell PowerEdge M710 blade server delivers enterprise performance, scalability, and expansion options to provide the bandwidth necessary for virtualization and performance-intensive business-critical applications. As a full-height server blade in Dell's M-Series, up to 8 total M710 blades can fit in the M1000e. The Dell M1000e enclosure supports multiple models and generations installed simultaneously to accommodate varying application demands with an appropriate hardware solution.

With their modular design, Dell PowerEdge blade servers are perfect solution for customers interested in consolidating their servers or clustering applications. The shared infrastructure of the M1000e enclosure includes power supplies, fans, I/O modules and backplanes for improved power efficiency and reduced operating costs.

The M710 server blade offers enhanced processing performance with features like Intel Turbo Boost Technology and Intelligent Power Technology. With two Intel Xeon 5500 and 5600 product family processors, the M710 supports up to six cores and 12MB cache per CPU. An impressive memory footprint supports 18-DIMM memory capacity for a total of up to 288GB running at 1333MHz. Storage options include up to four SAS or SATA hard drives or solid state drives. By defaullt, all our blade servers include the PERC 6/iR RAID controller standard with our M710 systems.
