Legacy Systems

In computing, a legacy system is an old method, technology, computer system, or application program, "of, relating to, or being a previous or outdated computer system," yet still in use. Often referencing a system as "legacy" means that it paved the way for the standards that would follow it.

Legacy systems remain in use because they've got a hard-earned reputation for reliability, and some of them are arguably more modern than what is supposed to replace them.

Some systems are just hard to replace. Plain and simple !-especially the ones that handle vital business processes within an organization.

At Tekmart Africa, we understand that there will be various reasons that will inform the decision to maintain than to discard or completely replace these systems. We stock parts for the most common legacy systems; be they servers, storage or networking hardware.

Contact our support team and we will gladly assist in providing the correct raplacement part for your legacy system (s).
