Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment(B-BBEE) is a Government policy to advance economic transformation and enhance the economic participation of previously disenfranchised population groups in South Africa

A B-BBEE certificate is a document verifying a business’ performance with regards to black economic empowerment in South Africa, as determined by the company size, sector code and the points accrued across each of the five elements of the BEE scorecard. A B-BBEE status level is determined by the number of points a business receives across the five B-BBEE elements. The higher your status level, the more procurement recognition your company will receive.
