These parts, which fall under HP Renew programme run by HP, is a means to reintroduce returned products back into the market. These parts are returned for various reasons. These might include:- incorrect orders, oversupply, and cancelled orders in which case the product is new and classified by HP as “Gold” product.

HP Renew products can be recognised by the addition of an “R” to the HP product number. For example, if the new product number is A1234A, the equivalent HP Renew product number will be A1234AR.
