We ordered some server parts for a community project we had been commisioned to do. Because the price of the item was so low, I expected a problem and wanted to replace or cancel my order. Tekmart has always been my first choice for replacement parts for Dell servers and storages. Some connecting cables and drives for our PowerVault MD1000 got misplaced in a company move and after some research found these replacement cables here. It was at a much better price than from Dell itself and works great! I get great customer service when I call and the check-out process is flawless. As an IT professional with many years in the industry, I am glad that they have made it easy to find the replacement parts I needed by searching using the part numbers. The product descriptions are easy to read and stock numbers are clearly displayed. This is one of the few places where I could buy discontinued 7-year old SAS hard drives to match existing drives in our PowerVault storage, new! We rely heavily on our IBM Power systems for our IT network. In the past we had a supplier managing all our IT hardware needs. We have always relied on their sales and technical support teams to answer our calls at any time of the day and provide us with prompt service... The engineers have always made things easy for us. We have replaced one of our servers and bought a storage system from them that put us into a domain environment. Kobus, from their technical support, kept us informed in their reasoning every step of the way on why we needed to standardize on Storwize SAN storage as they were carving out a solution for us. Essentially, they brought us up-to-date. We were using tape for backups and the new solution has migrated us to a more secure hybrid cloud and on-premise backup solution. Our business is now more secure after implementing a firewall they recommended as we had no firewall prior, resulting in a far more effective and secure disaster recovery plan. Would wish to recommend the Tekmart team on an excellent service that we received last week. Our servers went down that also resulted in the VMs also getting off-line. Peter from the support team walked us on what needed to be done telephonically. They diagnosed accurately that it was one drive that failed. Turned out that we needed to replace the IBM drive that was suspect. Suffice to say, shortly after replacing the drive they provided, the RAID was online again and the VMs also came back on. Needed some entry-level virtualization machines. The guys in technical were very helpful, especially Kobus who was very clued with what we wanted the machines for and assisted in last moment modifications.Used their configure-to-order functionality and was able to spec the machines to a standard as per our needs.
