These Front panel cage assemblies, 25-bay Small Form Factor (SFF) hard drive cages for the DL380 G8 server models include the drive connector backplane board, cables, and left and right ears.

Please note: If you are converting a DL380p Gen8 8SFF or 8LFF server to a 25SFF cage you will also need a new server top cover.

A good buy. This is the model that fits 25 2.5 inch drives. It came in handy when we commissioned a DL380 G8 as a storage / server combo. The construct of the cage allowed us to implement SSDs in the new build. The change was a simple screwing out and taking out the existing cage and the optical drive bay. The reassembly was even more fun and with the cables provided was a breeze. Plugged in power cables , connected the SAS cables to the RAID controller and that was all. Powering up, the system picked all the drives immediately and has been running great since. Great advice from Tekmart support and they even threw in the top cover for good measure. Didn't realize the old cover would not be suitable for the new build. The engagement latch location is slightly different from the standard models.
