Tekmart Africa Limited Warranty Statement

Our Warranty Obligations Are Limited To The Terms Set Forth Below:

Tekmart Africa warrants to the original consumer purchaser that products will be free from defects in material and workmanship that affect product functionality for the Standard Warranty Period. To verify this period for your Product, please click on “My Account”, log-in and look at your order history.

Our warranty is stated on your original invoice. If no warranty is stated on your original invoice, then your warranty period shall default to 90 days. No warranty is provided for cosmetic defects in material and workmanship. The start of the warranty period is the date the product is shipped from our facilities.

For replacement products the warranty on the replacement product is the remainder of the warranty on the original product or 30 days, whichever is longer.

If the customer discovers a defect, Tekmart Africa will, at its option, repair or replace the product at no charge to the customer, provided it is returned during the warranty period, with transportation charges prepaid, to Tekmart Online (Pty) Ltd in Alberton, Ekurhuleni, South Africa.

If Tekmart Africa chooses to replace the product, we will at our option, supply the same, similar or better product. Tekmart Africa will NOT guarantee that the part number of the replacement product will be exactly the same with the defective product. Products must be properly packaged in Tekmart Africa packaging or Tekmart Africa approved packaging to obtain warranty service.

For warranty service, contact Tekmart Africa to obtain a “Return Material Authorization (RMA) number.” A copy of the receipt or a tax invoice bearing the appropriate Tekmart Africa serial number and model number may be required for warranty service.

Warranty Exclusions:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Abuse, unreasonable use, mistreatment, or neglect
  • Damage caused during installation of the disk product
  • Damage caused by the equipment or system with which the disk product is used
  • Damage caused by modification or repair not made or authorized by Tekmart Africa
  • Disk products whose manufacturer Serial Number and/or Material Number label have been removed, torn or defaced
  • Damage caused by use of non-Tekmart Africa packaging
  • Damage caused by improper or improperly used packaging
  • Damage caused by lack of ESD protection
  • Products that are determined to be stolen

Solid State Drives that have exceeded their manufacturer’s lifetime endurance rating (e.g. total data written to the drive)
