The Dell™ PowerConnect™ RPS-600 offers enterprise-class redundant power for select PowerConnect™ 3000 and 5000 series switches. It contains four independent 150 W power supplies. The RPS-600 eliminates the switch power supply as a single point of failure and supports up to four PowerConnect™ switches.
In case a switch's power supply fails, the RPS-600 will supply power to the connected switch and keep it powered on. Each connected switch is supported by one of the RPS-600's four 150 W power supplies. Front-panel LEDs indicate that the unit is either in stand-by or is powering a switch with a failed power supply.
The RPS-600 is rack-mountable and consumes only 1 rack-unit of space. Power cables to support up to four switches and rack mounting kit are included. This product has been tested and validated on Dell™systems and is compatible with Dell™ PowerConnect™ 3048, 3248 and 5224 switches.
It is supported by Dell™ Technical Support when used with a Dell system.
