The HP MSA P2000 G3 Family offers versatile, high-performance storage arrays designed for entry-level to departmental needs. Each 2U array supports single or dual controllers and includes a 6 Gb SAS backend for fast, reliable access to drives and JBODs. The lineup offers five controller options to match a range of use cases: a dual-port 8 Gb FC controller for high-performance SANs; a dual-protocol Combo FC/iSCSI controller; a four-port 6 Gb SAS controller for direct-attached servers; a 10GbE iSCSI controller for high-bandwidth shared storage; and a four-port 1 Gb iSCSI controller offering affordable yet powerful connectivity.
All MSA P2000 G3 models come standard with 64 snapshot capabilities and Volume Copy (cloning), with the option to upgrade to 512 snapshots. Remote Snap replication is also available for FC and iSCSI configurations, enhancing data protection and disaster recovery capabilities.
Chassis options include models with 12 Large Form Factor (3.5") bays or 24 Small Form Factor (2.5") bays, both of which support a mix of enterprise-class SAS, Midline SAS, and archival-class SATA drives. The systems support hot-plug replacement of controllers, fans, power supplies, and I/O modules, along with hot-add expansion enclosures. Matching single or dual G3 controllers can be installed, and both AC and DC power options are available.
