The SC200 supports up to 12 hot-swappable 3.5" SAS HDDs or SSDs, offering a maximum raw capacity of 48TB per enclosure using 4TB drives. It provides a balanced solution for organizations requiring both high capacity and solid performance. The SC220, by contrast, accommodates up to 24 hot-swappable 2.5" drives, supporting high-performance storage configurations using write-intensive single-level cell (SLC) SSDs, read-intensive multi-level cell (MLC) SSDs, and traditional rotating disks. It offers a maximum capacity of 38.4TB per enclosure when using 1.6TB SSDs.
Both enclosures allow you to mix drive types, speeds, and capacities—including 7,200 rpm and 15,000 rpm HDDs as well as 200GB and 400GB SSDs—within the same chassis. This flexibility makes it easy to tailor storage to specific workload requirements. The systems are capable of supporting up to 960 SAS drives per array, connected through a high-speed 6Gbps SAS interface.
Efficiency and data protection are built into the design. The SC200 and SC220 feature dual, hot-swappable 700W power supplies that are 80 PLUS® Silver certified for energy efficiency.
