Looked for these Nec small hard drives. I have always wondered why some OEMs insist on locking their drives onto their proprietary systems. We tried many different drives to work on our clients Express5800 server. None could reveal their total raw volume. Luckily we got the exact units and they worked. Anyone out there who can explain to me why hard drives get locked at the firmware level?
