5 of 5 Stars This version of Synology system makes noise. I realize this is a rackstation, but the fans in the power supplies cannot be slowed down through software and are where the noise comes from. Besides that, the performance is nice. It's Synology - easy to use. I like the server; I just don't like the noise. Be aware that Synology has moved to a model where you will need to purchase their brand of HDs or a very small selection of other manufacturer's drives on the compatibility list( none above 8TB) if you want the full capabilities of your NAS-but this will be sooner than later.
