Standby Power Supplies (SPS)
The SPS (standby power supply) is a device similar to a UPS.
An SPS contains a battery or batteries like the UPS, but the battery provides power to the computer only when it loses AC power. It does not provide constant power, like the UPS. As an example, for a CLARiion or VNX array you would normally have two of these units per array.
Tekmart sells EMC Replacement Batteries for the CX, CX3, CX4, AX, and VNX series storage arrays. Model numbers covered by the units available include, but not limited to:
