We ordered this card for our file/storage server since the card that was included was a 6i that doesn't support SSD's. This is a good reasonable upgrade to to make. I like the bump in performance, I also noticed the drives get less wear and tear due to the cache. The drive read and write lights barely flashed under a light load. You will however need to change out the cables from the SAS backplane to H700. Shutting down the server and all of our VMs took long to swap out the RAID card and cables. What I know is the PERC 6/i in our other Dell T610 is limited to 3Gb/s, while the H700 is a 6Gb/s card. I didn't see a doubling in IOPs, but I did see a 25% increase in speed while doing backups. This card is a great deal for the money spent
