The PERC H330 is an entry-level, 12Gb/s SAS/SATA hardware RAID card used in PowerEdge servers and high-end Precision workstations.
Because the H330 has no onboard cache, it is highly reliable for data safety but may have slower write performance in RAID 5 compared to cards with a cache (like the H730).
You cannot run SAS drives on the motherboard's integrated ports; you must use a dedicated controller like the H330 for SAS support.
